Attached is a warning ticket
from the City of DeKalb.

Under current city codes, the fine is $500 PER DAY for weeds over 8 inches tall. Even if the grass is freshly cut - don't forget to do a good job on weed whacking or it can cost you BIG TIME under the CURRENT CODE.


If the City enforced the codes currently on the books with all property owners, not only would the lawns look better, but a large amount of funds would be raised.


Under the newly proposed nuisance ordinance, the City could seize the property 1 -365 days for this violation alone.
That's an incredible penalty!
