Residents march on city hall
View video from July 28 march

TLC has joined alliances with
several other professional and
community groups such as
DeKalb Area Association of
Realtors and associated
professionals, owners and
associates from liquor and small
businesses, disgruntled city
employees, and folks against
home rule. As a collective fight
against these ordinances and
other objections to the manner
in which city staff and city
council are conducting Dekalb
city businesses and in affect are
acting irresponsibly, we will be
conducting a civil protest
march. Any and all citizens are
welcome along with your
children, relatives, neighbors
and business associates. We
are looking to be 2,000 people
strong! We are in need of
speakers willing to discuss your
issues at the council meeting
that night. Contact TLC through our email: dekalbtlc@verizon.net or
call Susan at
(815) 739-2739 or Brian at
(815) 739-5785.

DeKalb residents took to the streets June 23 and July 28, to express their displeasure with the city's proposed budget and in support of DeKalb TLC's position against a property nuisance ordinance. Others are demanding accountability from government in the form of wage cuts instead of tax increases.
